It were as if I descended to hell and ascended with the Risen Lord this Easter 2021. Lent and Easter this year were definitely more special than the ones of the last 24 years of my life as a Catholic. I am no longer a bystander but a disciple who helps carry His cross as many of my brothers and sisters have been. During the pandemic, I had plenty of time to read and watch videos of the saints and the prophets who remind me keenly who our God is: the loving and mysterious God Who is! Because of their extreme faith and suffering, my best companions in prayer have been Father Abraham and Job beside the Blessed Mother. Thank You, God!
On a brand new spiritual level, I am a novice again, and the spiritual father is watching over me and guiding me from heaven. It is even more edifying and effective! As much as I miss seeing him in person, I am ever grateful that he suffers no more on this earth. I have gone back to doing spiritual sharing and talk and working with children. Trying to seek and to do the will of God who is love, helps me grow and nourishes my soul.
“Jesus, I trust in you” is my ultimate response to the mystery of the crosses which you and I are carrying. And my ultimate mission is to love and to please Him who said: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
So, my dear sisters and brothers, you are not alone! Let us not waste our time for He awaits us. See you on the journey!
Much love in the Savior,
Minh
